Pusha T and adidas return with their latest iteration of the iconic EQT. Taking inspiration from New York City bodegas, the EQT Support Ultra King Push “Bodega Babies” takes the most innocuous of settings and materials and translates them to a forward-thinking street-ready sneaker.

Highly experimental in terms of texture, the Bodega Babies’ rough-and-ready combinative construction echoes the spirit of NYC; a melting pot of cultures and lifestyles which work together to fuel the most famous metropolis on the planet. Bodegas – a word of Spanish-origin which refers to a specific type of convenience store prominent across the city – are hubs of their community, places where people of all ages, backgrounds, races, and, cultures collide. Important to the spirit of the sneaker was the bodega’s representation of growth, evolution, and belonging.

Taking the inspiration more literally, the hard beige colourway draws reference to the ubiquitous brown paper bags used to pack groceries and conceal liquor bottles bought at bodegas.
