Nike Sportswear is set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the reunification of Germany with the release of the Nike Air Pegasus 89 “German Reunification”.

Back in October 3rd, 1990, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Democratic Republic of Germany united to create the one single Germany that we know today. This special Nike Air Pegasus ’89 commemorates the 25th anniversary of that moment. Known as the “German Unification”, this Pegasus ’89 is covered in a camouflage upper, known as Flecktarn, that represents the uniforms that were worn by the West German Army (Bundeswehr) and the East German Army (NVA). A Strichtarn raindrop camo has also been added on the toe and on the heel along with special aglets that read 1990 and 2015. The laces, outsole and Swoosh have been colored in black to add some contrast to the busy upper.
